We specialise in crafting unforgettable wedding experiences. The Role

The ideal candidate will play a key leadership role in the kitchen, supporting the Head Chef in managing daily operations and ensuring high standards of food quality and consistency. They will supervise and train kitchen staff, coordinate food preparation during service, and step in to lead the kitchen when the Head Chef is unavailable. The Sous Chef helps with menu development, inventory control, and maintaining food safety and sanitation standards, while fostering teamwork and efficiency in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

 Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations

  • Prepare, cook, and present menu items to Hyde House standards

  • Supervise and support kitchen staff, ensuring proper training and development

  • Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation are consistent and exceptional

  • Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and safety in accordance with health and sanitation regulations

  • Assist with menu development, specials, and seasonal offerings

  • Monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering, and minimise food waste

  • Step in to lead kitchen operations in the absence of the Executive Chef

  • Ensure all dishes are prepared efficiently during service periods

  • Foster a collaborative, respectful, and professional kitchen culture

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong experience as a Senior Line Cook

  • Professional experience preferred

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

  • Thorough knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen best practices

  • Passion for high-quality ingredients and culinary excellence

  • Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Schedule:
